Just wanted to let you folks know that Louise Shaw, Tommy's wife, passed away this last month. As their neice I kmow that my Uncle Tommy spent quite a bit of time there, as did my late Mother, Thomasine, whom I lost 25yrs ago. I believe she met my father at McCarthy's. Well...I'm way the hell out in Arizona, I thought you folks might have a pint in memory of the Shaw's, hoping all the best for their children, Jeff, Thomas and Colleen.

I cannot believe there is an Irish Pub w/ the same name as my wonderful Irish father. He passed away, a WWII proud US Army Airman & Irishman. He married my mother, Grace Ryan, & I married a Ryan also. I would love to take my entire extended family to visit. You must know that we are Boston proud, but no matter. We ARE IRISH!!! I just wanted to thank gerhardt for the great time at the Shamrock run festivities. Jim, the bartender did a great job as usual. Some wonderful singalongs along with the Gene McCarthy "Wild Colonial Boy" song. Thanks Jimmy!

I had a great time at the Shamrock Run party at McCarthy's. The band was great. I actually stayed long enough to hear both of the bands. Great fun. Sing alongs were fun too! Thanks for the great time.

Dear Deborah,
Thank you for your observations and yes, I am looking to expand the dining area of the pub. We have done so much in such a little time regarding historic renovations to the interior and some exterior work too. Also, our relationships with our new home band and their friends, combined with our new friends: South Buffalo Rugby Team, is helping ensure our place in Buffalo's Irish community.
PS, I miss talking with your dad in the morning. Ralph is always full of great insight and wisdom. He is one of my family's first friends there. I have been told he is out of town now, but tell him, I will keep the Gennies cold for him when he gets back!

Dear Sheila,
We have a strong first start here i.e. domain name alone. If possiable, we should talk about a way to get feedback from the internet seekers (built in submissions to the restaurant)per se. Also, we could let people know about our food on special occasions, catering events, etc. We could even offer live Irish music for parties over a predetermined number of guests.
